First of all I know John Mayer comments may tap the ego of black women everywhere slobbering over him but on the real who cares? I dont get offended by stuff like this because most white people think like this and its really no shocker..Just a bunch of dumb "whiteboy" rhetoric.I was set back by his usage of the n word but it seemed like he was dumbly trying to use the word to show the reporter how racist of a term "hood pass" is.He sounded like an idiot and whitemen seem to always sound like idiots..not generalizing all white people..I love them naturally some of my best friends are white.I'm just saying mainstream media white guy's seem to be having a very rough time right now when it comes to saying shit that offends minorities.Whoopi Goldberg defended the guy from Hardball when he said he forgot the president was black.She said "white guys are just gonna have to start thinking before they talk about certain subjects".Once again I'm not generalizing and not trying to offend the good wholesome white folks out there that are down for the brothers and the sisters(lol).I'm actually defending John Mayer because I dont think he's racist he just wasnt being smart with his answers and this happens way too much when white people in general that arent "racist" talk about race related issues.Am I wrong for saying it was dumb??..nah --Are white guys in the mainstream media consistently making this mistake?...yea and that shit is dumb.
Side note which has nothing to do with anything particular: since when in the world does CNN have to tell dumb ass people how to shovel snow? Are we there for real? This is a billion dollar news corporation they can use this air time to talk about anything in the world and we're taking time to fucking tell people how to shovel some god awful snow!Sometimes I wish somebody would direct me to the cliff and push me over it.I just get tired of folks acting like we live int the sixties.I understand the science behind freedom of speech better than most folks.I think its detrimental for people to think a certain way but overall freedom of speech is the best shit under the sun and people need to thicken their skin.I've just personally come to the point where I'm tired of people being shocked by racist incidents.It's like we're playing Street Fighter 2 and your opponent keeps doing the same exact move over and over.He keeps winning and you keep bitching about him doing the same damn move back to back.I see the roundhouse coming I dont expect him to not hit me with the same exact move as he previously did so I'm not really offended when it keeps happening.
